PennySaverUSA.Com Aligns With Southeastern Advertising Publishers Association to Expand Online Classified Network

PennySaverUSA.com to Serve as Vendor of Choice to SAPA's Member Publications for Classified Web Services and Online Classified Aggregation of Local Advertising

RANCHO CORDOVA, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- September 18, 2006 -- PennySaverUSA.com, the Web site of the shopper publications of Harte-Hanks, Inc. (NYSE: HHS), has entered into a relationship with the Southeastern Advertising Publishers Association (SAPA), a not-for-profit organization representing more than 150 free-circulation community papers and shoppers reaching more than 6 million homes in the Southeastern region of the United States. Through this alliance, PennySaverUSA.com is designated as SAPA's vendor of choice for Web services and an aggregator of local classified advertising content online for its members.

SAPA, in turn, will reach out to its individual publisher members, marketing and supporting the PennySaverUSA.com Web site (http://www.pennysaverusa.com) where individual SAPA members may receive Web classified services and list their own online classified ads. This alliance with SAPA further expands the association network of PennySaverUSA.com, which recently entered into an alliance with the Association of Free Community Papers in July 2006 and the Midwest Free Community Papers earlier this month.

"Online classified ad aggregation is in demand by consumers, and industry leader PennySaverUSA.com is the clear choice to help our member publications expand their print advertising to the online arena," said Douglas Fry, executive director of SAPA. "This alliance allows our members to take advantage of the power and technology of PennySaverUSA.com's national classified database and provides the critical mass of content our members need to serve local shoppers, both online and in print."

"Enabling individual SAPA members to affiliate with PennySaverUSA.com is another important step toward our goal of building a national network of hometown free papers and shoppers on the Web," said Loren Dalton, president of PennySaverUSA.com. "At PennySaverUSA.com, our mission is to bring buyers and sellers together. Community newspapers and shoppers have been the respected choice for local buying and selling in the Southeast for many years. Our relationship with SAPA gives its members the tools and technology they need to expand their online audiences."

According to Dalton, each SAPA member publication that joins PennySaverUSA.com has access to PennySaverUSA.com's nationwide database of local content in classified ads. "As PennySaverUSA.com's affiliate program grows, so does our online content," Dalton said. "Our publisher partners can then leverage this content to strengthen their own local online advertising offering. As a leader in the online aggregation of shoppers and community newspapers across the country, we are excited to be chosen as SAPA's vendor of choice."

"Free community papers and shoppers have long been an affordable and successful method of advertising, particularly here in the Southeast," said Mike Woodard, president of SAPA. "These papers have grown in strength and numbers as our region has prospered, and now is the perfect time for our member publications to expand their online classified advertising. We are excited to join PennySaverUSA.com and look forward to active participation by our members."
