Penoles Receives Eaglecrest's Highest Grade Gold Concentrate to Date

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(CCNMatthews - April 16, 2007) - Eaglecrest Explorations Ltd. ("Eaglecrest" or "the Company") (TSX VENTURE:EEL)(FRANKFURT:EAT) is pleased to report that Penoles smelter (Met-Mex Penoles S.A. de CV) in Mexico has received the Company's fourth shipment of high grade gold flotation concentrate. The 0.76 tonne shipment contains approximately 153 ounces of gold with a gold grade of 202 ounces per tonne, which is the highest grade shipment to date. The high grade gold flotation concentrate was produced at the Company's on-site gold recovery plant at the San Simon project in northeast Bolivia. The samples were collected as part of the underground bulk sampling program between mid-November and mid-December 2006.

Based on the agreement with Penoles, the Company receives from Penoles a payment for approximately 95% of the gold value in the concentrates. The settlement gold value is based on the average London spot gold price per ounce for the month following the arrival of the shipment to smelter. After shipping costs and royalty payments to the Bolivian government, the company receives approximately 84% of the gold value in the concentrates.

"This is our highest grade shipment to date. The higher gold grades in our latest concentrates reflect the bulk sampling within the L463 high-grade gold shoot," comments Eaglecrest's President Hans Rasmussen. "Bulk sampling of this shoot will continue during 2007 and the revenue from the sale of these concentrates will be used to offset some of our exploration costs at San Simon."
