Strong Customer Adoption During Downturn Fuels Growth for Open Source BI Leader

-- Pentaho delivered additional proprietary BI replacements, including replacing Hyperion at Otto International, with other proprietary replacements at Sircon and Harris Computer and another competitive win over Informatica at Cardiac Science.

-- The company also saw strong adoption among small- and medium-sized businesses, showcasing customers like Centro, a media services firm who is driving competitive advantage in a fiscally responsible way by choosing commercial open source BI from Pentaho.

-- Cloud computing attracted Pentaho customers like Nutricia North America, a division of Group Danone, who provided a great example of why customers are running the Pentaho BI Suite on the Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2). Implemented by Pentaho Certified Partner OpenBI, the application integrates data from disparate systems to provide analytical insight across Nutricia's product lines, customers, and geographies.

-- Pentaho BI Suite Version 3 delivered self-service dashboards for business users, flexible deployment options for on-premise or Cloud BI as well as new flash-based charting and dashboard framework features contributed by Pentaho's thriving global community. -- Pentaho announced Pentaho Data Integration 3.2, transforming the economics of high-performance ETL and Cloud BI. -- Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) partners like Sircon showcased Pentaho's multi-tenant capabilities for SaaS applications, and the advantages of Pentaho's commercial open source model for SaaS and OEM partners. Pentaho also demonstrated significant traction and growth in its channel business, showcasing partners like Spidex Software who was able to add incremental revenue streams and enhance its competitive position by embedding Pentaho's BI suite.

-- Sun Microsystems joined forces with Pentaho and Infobright, the open source data warehousing company, to deliver a hardware and software solution that lowers the cost of entry and simplifies deployment of a powerful data warehousing and BI infrastructure.

-- Pentaho and Red Hat partnered to significantly expand its global distribution capabilities through the Open Source Channel Alliance, led by Red Hat and SYNNEX Corporation. The partnership enables SYNNEX VARs to distribute Pentaho's entire product portfolio.

-- Pentaho established its Gold Reseller program, created to support growth in established and emerging global markets.
