Finalists' Second Round Videos Posted Today; YouTube Community and to Vote for Grand Prize Winner

NEW YORK, NY and SAN BRUNO, CA--(Marketwire - August 15, 2008) - and YouTube™ today announced the ten finalists in their Red Carpet Reporter contest ( The YouTube community will now vote to determine the grand prize winner who could have the opportunity to interview celebrities on the red carpet in Hollywood this September. The competition, which launched in July, invited aspiring red carpet reporters to post their videos to a co-branded casting channel on YouTube ( Applicants posted their best two-to four-minute videos showcasing their interviewing skills as they chatted up family and friends, while pretending to be on the red carpet at a Hollywood award show.

Videos related to the search generated hundreds of thousands of views on YouTube and A team of editors and red carpet correspondents selected the top ten, and now, each of these talented reporters will have the opportunity to submit a second round video. and the YouTube community will vote on these second round submission videos from August 15 through August 25.

Grand prize winner will be unveiled simultaneously on and YouTube on August 27, 2008. The winner will spend a whirlwind two days in Los Angeles where he or she will receive the ultimate red carpet treatment, including hair and make-up by Revlon, a clothing allowance, VIP entry to exclusive events, and the chance to work the red carpet interviewing Hollywood celebrities.
