PEOPLE.com and YouTube Present First-Ever Red Carpet Correspondent Competition Presented Exclusively by Revlon

Chosen Correspondent Will Win a Chance to Co-Host From the Red Carpet of a Major Hollywood Award Show This September; PEOPLE.com Launches New YouTube Channel to Showcase Behind-the-Scenes Celebrity Interview Footage and More

NEW YORK, NY and SAN BRUNO, CA--(Marketwire - July 10, 2008) - PEOPLE.com and YouTube™ today announced a contest for an aspiring Red Carpet Reporter who could win the opportunity to interview celebrities on the Red Carpet in Hollywood this September (www.youtube.com/redcarpetreporter). Presented exclusively by Revlon, the competition, which begins July 10, will give one YouTube and PEOPLE.com user the chance to experience a dream assignment, with exclusive access and first-class treatment. In addition to the competition, PEOPLE.com is also launching its YouTube Channel (www.youtube.com/people) to give fans a peek behind the curtain at exclusive PEOPLE.com video, photo shoots, celebrity interviews and more.

Between Wednesday, July 9 and Midnight EDT on Monday, July 21, applicants can submit their best two- to four-minute videos showcasing their interviewing skills by chatting up family and friends as if they were on the red carpet at a Hollywood award show. For submissions and contest guidelines visit: www.youtube.com/redcarpetreporter or www.people.com/youtube.

A team of PEOPLE.com editors and red carpet correspondents will narrow the field to 10 finalists. Finalists will produce a second two- to four-minute video in which they will conduct spontaneous interviews in a public area. PEOPLE.com and the YouTube community will vote on the 10 finalist videos, and the winner will be unveiled simultaneously on PEOPLE.com and YouTube on August 27, 2008.

"Red carpet coverage is an important part of the PEOPLE.com experience, so this was a natural extension," said Mark Golin, Editor, PEOPLE.com. "We're thrilled to partner with YouTube on their first co-branded competition and to offer this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to our collective audiences."

"We are excited to work with PEOPLE.com to offer our first co-branded competition to the YouTube community -- furthering our mission of helping people everywhere broadcast their talents and giving them a chance to be discovered," said Jordan Hoffner, Director of Content Partnerships at YouTube. "The combination of YouTube's reach with PEOPLE's access and style will allow the winner to share their experience with the world through a video diary, highlighting exclusive moments such as preparing for and working on a red carpet."

The grand prize winner will spend a whirlwind two days in Los Angeles and receive the red carpet treatment -- including hair and make-up by Revlon, a clothing allowance and VIP entry into exclusive events -- culminating in taking a spot on the red carpet to interview Hollywood celebrities.

The video diary documenting the winner's day of preparing for and working the red carpet will be featured on both YouTube.com and PEOPLE.com.

"At Revlon, we have a long standing tradition of glamour and sophistication, which is a natural fit for the red carpet," said Kiki Rees, SVP Media & Communications for Revlon. "By participating in this program with PEOPLE.com and YouTube, we are giving aspiring correspondents across the nation the chance to shine and have the ultimate red carpet moment."
