Peoplefluent Appoints David L. McEvoy as General Counsel

Legal Executive With More Than Twenty Years Technology, Patent and Organizational Experience in High Growth Companies Joins Senior Leadership Team

McEvoy as its new Senior Vice President and General Counsel. McEvoy brings more than twenty years of experience representing global technology companies during times of organizational growth and rapid product development to Peoplefluent.

In his new role, McEvoy will be responsible for directing Peoplefluent's legal organization, overseeing corporate policies, intellectual property, risk management, privacy and security, litigation and contract administration. With deep experience in growth environments, McEvoy has worked extensively in customer-centric environments and understands the importance of best customer outcomes in the execution of his role within Peoplefluent. He joins several newly appointed members of the senior management team including Neal Bruce, Vice President of Product Management, and William Chislett, Head of Inside Sales.

Prior to joining Peoplefluent, McEvoy served as General Counsel at Art Technology Group, Inc., a public software company that was acquired by Oracle in January 2011. There he led a global legal department, which was responsible for complex license and service transaction negotiations; and worked closely with the company's Board of Directors, and the Audit, Compensation and Governance Committees. As Art Technology Group's General Counsel, he also managed a strategic patent portfolio that grew by 500% in five years.

Earlier in his career, McEvoy was Vice President and Group General Counsel - Operations for The Gores Group, a private equity firm. During his tenure, he negotiated merger and acquisition transactions and performed due diligence in numerous acquisitions, dispositions and IPOs of portfolio companies. He also held the role of Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary, at VeriFone Systems Inc., a Gores Group portfolio company and spent eight years with The Learning Co. during three significant corporate phases. He started his career as an attorney with two Boston-based law firms.

McEvoy holds a Juris Doctor degree from Boston University School of Law. He graduated with a master of arts programs in Economics and International Affairs at Ohio State University. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Vassar College. A Boston-area resident, he will be located in Peoplefluent's Waltham, Mass. offices.
