PeopleMatter Collaborate '15 Conference Presents Ideas to Solve Today's Biggest Workforce Challenges

Company Launches New Performance Management Solution, Announces Winners of 2015 Excellence Awards During Annual User Conference

CHARLESTON, SC--(Marketwired - May 27, 2015) -  Today PeopleMatter shared details from the company's successful user conference, Collaborate '15, which was held at the Francis Marion Hotel in Charleston, S.C. from Monday, May 4, through Wednesday, May 6, 2015. The event, attended by more than 250 professionals and thought leaders from leading service industry companies and brands such as Del Taco, Charlotte Russe, Texas Roadhouse and more, provided attendees with the opportunity to learn about PeopleMatter's latest solutions, meet with industry experts and explore best practices for HR optimization.

Among the highlights of the conference was the introduction of PeopleMatter PERFORM™, an innovative new solution that automates all aspects of performance management, from conducting performance evaluations to providing feedback and creating development plans. Attendees had the opportunity to see firsthand how PERFORM facilitates the entire employee performance management process, enabling the improved engagement and retention of a company's talent. Developed through a partnership with Reliant, PERFORM was created to give employers a simplified approach to performance management while delivering high visibility into employee performance to drive continuous improvement.

"What's so great about PeopleMatter PERFORM is the fact that it will allow employers to systematize team member recognition and appreciation, giving every employee a chance to have a real career path. That alone is critical to enabling engagement in organizations," said Kevin Kruse, New York Times bestselling author and creator of several, multimillion-dollar technology companies, and a keynote speaker at Collaborate '15.

Attendees also got a first glimpse at other innovative solutions developed by PeopleMatter, as Kay Lucas, the company's vice president of Product Management introduced the PeopleMatter 2015 Roadmap. During this presentation, Lucas shared highlights of PeopleMatter's latest developments, including a 6-minute assessment optimized for mobile devices, partnerships with leading job boards to attract talent from multiple channels and the company's integrations with back office systems, such as data warehousing, payroll, HRIS and point of sales systems.

In addition to new and updated product announcements, attendees also were treated to informative presentations from some of the most talented and experienced leaders in HR today, including keynotes from Kruse and Human Capital Management technology analyst Dr. Katherine Jones. Kruse shared examples of how companies are finding ways to engage their employees to drive greater business performance and explained how the secret to engaging employees is providing opportunities for growth, recognition, trust and communication.

Jones, an industry veteran, shared insight into the impact of millennials in the workplace -- and how organizations can take advantage of mobile apps to improve the morale, productivity and customer service of this growing generation of workers. With millennials poised to comprise 70 percent of the workforce by 2030, Jones explained how it is imperative to engage these workers on the smartphones and tablets they use on a daily basis to improve recruiting, performance and retention.

The three-day event culminated in an awards ceremony recognizing seven PeopleMatter customers for their outstanding culture, service and returns on investment. Winners of the 2015 PeopleMatter Excellence Awards are: T.L. Cannon Companies, HIRE ROI Impact Award; Del Taco, LEARN ROI Impact Award; Heartland Automotive Services, SCHEDULE ROI Impact Award; Jeni's Splendid Ice Creams, Spirit of the Community Award; Quality Dining, Inc., Game Changer Award; Country Fair, Rockstar Award; and Cooper's Hawk Winery & Restaurants, Pinnacle Award. The annual awards are given in recognition of the outstanding results achieved by PeopleMatter's service industry clients through the use of the company's cutting-edge workforce management solutions.

"We were thrilled to welcome so many interesting and innovative HR professionals and business leaders to our great city of Charleston. Over the course of the conference, PeopleMatter experts as well as the industry's top leaders delivered engaging, thought-provoking sessions that stimulated new ideas and actions for attendees to implement in their own organizations," said Nate DaPore, president and CEO of PeopleMatter.
