Peoples Education Announces Expansion of Practice Path™

SADDLE BROOK, NJ--(Marketwire - March 19, 2010) -  Peoples Education (NASDAQ: PEDH), a leading provider of print and online supplemental educational materials for the K-12 school market, disclosed today the expansion of their web-based, skill-based practice program, Practice Path™, into seven new markets. This expansion is indicative of the investment the organization has made in the creation and development of high-quality, state-customized technology education programs.

The ePath Knowledge™ series, which was launched in early October 2009, consists of three distinct offerings: ePath Assess™, ePath Discovery™, and Practice Path™, all of which contain design features that provide the Company with a strong competitive advantage. In addition to the Company's unique, intuitive interfaces and visually based reporting features, each product contains custom content that is written, reviewed, and edited to support individual state requirements and standards -- customization that is not available in competitive products.

Coming less than six months after the original product launch, the expansion of Practice Path™ will strengthen the overall product offering of the ePath Knowledge™ program suite and provide educators access to a student-driven, skill-based practice tool that connects students with the high-quality content that Peoples Education is known for, while allowing them to work through a learning path that is unique to the individual.

The timeline demonstrated by this release is consistent with the goals articulated by Peoples Education's president and CEO, Brian T. Beckwith, in October 2009 when he announced the organization's plans to continue to expand the availability of Practice Path™ this fiscal year.

New Practice Path™ markets include:

  1. Arizona
  2. Georgia
  3. Illinois
  4. New York
  5. Ohio
  6. Pennsylvania
  7. Virginia
