Personal Brands for Business Presented by Ed Schipul at PRSA Digital Impact Conference

CEO of Schipul - The Web Marketing Company Will Discuss the Public Relations Implications of Personal Brands

HOUSTON, TX--(Marketwire - Apr 27, 2011) - Ed Schipul, CEO and president of Schipul - The Web Marketing Company (, a leading Web marketing and Web design company, will present "Profiting From the Personal-Branding Era: How to Convince the CEO to Encourage Personal Brands," at the PRSA 2011 Digital Impact Conference. The event is scheduled May 5-6 at The Sentry Center in New York City.

Many companies are struggling with the increasing prevalence of personal brands among employees -- many of whom blog, tweet, produce podcasts and post on Facebook. While many believe such activities are a distraction and a drain on productivity, Schipul will examine the link between personal brands and a company's bottom line.

"Public relations professionals need to be able to powerfully explain to their CEO how personal brands can reflect positively on an organization and contribute to its profitability," said Schipul. "Attempting to constrain personal brands is a losing strategy, so we'll explain the productive role PR can play in monitoring, measuring and managing personal brands."

The PRSA 2011 Digital Impact Conference focuses on the intersection of online tools and conversations. This year's theme is, "Building Knowledge, Skills and Value for the New Decade." Topics include social media relations and community building, increasing revenue through social media, mobile marketing and e-commerce, analytics and measurement, and brand positioning.

Other presenters include Sean Carlson, Manager of news industry relations for Google and Adam Sohn, Senior director of public and influencer relations for Microsoft Corporation, among others. Ed Schipul's presentation is schedule Friday, May 6th at 9:45 a.m. Register at
