Pervasip Corp. Announces New Ticker Symbol

WHITE PLAINS, NY--(Marketwire - February 21, 2008) - Pervasip Corp. (OTCBB: PVSP), formerly known as eLEC Communication Corp. (OTCBB: ELEC), today announced the change of the ticker symbol under which its common stock trades on NASDAQ's "Over-the-Counter" Bulletin Board to PVSP.

"We are very excited with the progress we have made with our IP telephony solution and we intend to be among the most pervasive IP carriers on the Internet," noted Paul Riss, Pervasip's CEO. "Our former ticker symbol of ELEC implied that we were a local exchange carrier because it contained the letters "LEC." In the past year we sold our local exchange carriers and our new ticker, PVSP, symbolizes our strategy and vision for the future -- that of a global network for IP-based services. Our managed packet network allows us to combine the reliability of the legacy circuit-switched network with the efficiency of packet technology. As a global IP carrier, we now utilize efficient interconnection and superior compression technology to ensure the high voice quality level that consumers expect on their telephone calls."
