Pethealth Announces Kentucky Humane Society has Moved to PetPoint

State's largest animal welfare organization joins growing list of animal agencies using PetPoint

OAKVILLE, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Sept. 18, 2008) - Pethealth Inc. ("Pethealth" or the "Company") (TSX:PTZ) announced today that the Kentucky Humane Society, the oldest and largest animal welfare agency in the state of Kentucky, has begun to use PetPoint, Pethealth's animal management application, to run its day-to-day operations.

PetPoint allows animal welfare agencies to better organize and care for their inventory of adoptable animals from the point of intake through to adoption. Pethealth created PetPoint in 2005 in response to the expressed need of animal welfare for an efficient, intuitive, application to run their day-to-day operations. Using a Software as a Service ("SaaS") model, animal welfare agencies can also drastically reduce or eliminate completely their IT and IT-related infrastructure costs through PetPoint.

"We are delighted that Kentucky Humane Society has decided to move to PetPoint," said Mark Warren, President and Chief Executive Officer of Pethealth. "We look forward to building a closer partnership with the staff of this leading animal welfare organization."

PetPoint has now been licensed by 995 organizations, including animal control agencies, humane societies, SPCAs, including the ASPCA (American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) and rescue groups in both Canada and the United States. In 2008 to date, PetPoint has been used to manage over 1-million animal intakes and nearly 400,000 pet adoptions by these same organizations.

"We know that using PetPoint will create significant efficiencies for our agency, from making data collection simpler and more comprehensive to allowing us to provide better customer service," said Lori Kane Redmon, President-CEO of Kentucky Humane Society.

The Kentucky Humane Society adopted out 5,412 dogs and cats in 2007, as well as spayed and neutered more than 11,000 pets, including 6,000 owned pets at the S.N.I.P. Clinic, a full-time, spay/neuter clinic that is open to the public.

The Kentucky Humane Society had been previously using ShelterBuddy Software to manage its operations.
