Pethealth Announces That Atlanta Humane Society Has Moved to PetPoint

Largest humane society in the state of Georgia joins the growing list of animal welfare organisations using the 'purrfect' software to run its day-to-day operations

OAKVILLE, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Nov. 26, 2007) - Pethealth Inc. (TSX:PTZ) announced that Atlanta Humane Society ("AHS"), the largest animal welfare organisation in the state of Georgia, has begun to use PetPoint, Pethealth's ASP .NET animal management application, to run its day-to-day operations. Pethealth created PetPoint in 2005 in response to the expressed need of animal welfare organisations, both large and small, throughout North America for an efficient, intuitive, ASP .NET application to run their day-to-day operations. PetPoint allows these organisations to better organise and care for their inventory of adoptable animals from the point of intake through to adoption. As a hosted application, animal welfare organisations can also reduce or eliminate totally IT and IT-related infrastructure costs.

"The Atlanta Humane Society has for many years been one of the leading animal welfare organisations in the United States," said Mark Warren, President and Chief Executive Officer of Pethealth. "The AHS staff have been great to work with and we look forward to building a closer partnership over the coming years. For us specifically, it establishes a hub in the state of Georgia from which to further build out our PetPoint platform."

PetPoint has now been licensed by over 775 organisations, including animal control agencies, humane societies, SPCAs, including the ASPCA (American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) and rescue groups in both Canada and the United States. In 2007 to date, PetPoint has managed nearly 1-million animal intakes and nearly 325,000 adoptions.

"We are excited to be making the move to PetPoint," said Carl Leveridge, President, Atlanta Humane Society. "Transitioning our staff to PetPoint was easy and we know that running the application will create considerable efficiencies and will make data collection and reporting easier for us as an organisation. As a web-based application, it will also help us as we look to expand our humane society over the next few years."

In 2007, Atlanta Humane Society expects to take in and provide medical service to over 20,000 animals and adopt over 6,000 into the community. The AHS had previously been using Chameleon Software.

In connection with the AHS's move to PetPoint, the organisation has also moved to Pethealth's 24PetWatch microchip program. Previously, AHS had been using AVID Identification Systems, Inc.
