Pethealth Announces the Hamilton/Burlington SPCA has Moved to PetPoint

Organization Seeking Streamlined, Cost-Effective Animal Management Application Chooses PetPoint

OAKVILLE, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - March 10, 2011) - Pethealth Inc. ("Pethealth" or the "Company") (TSX:PTZ), the leading provider of management software to animal welfare organizations, the leading provider of RFID microchip technology to companion animals, and the second largest provider of pet insurance in North America, is pleased to announce the Hamilton/Burlington SPCA ("HBSPCA"), one of the oldest animal welfare organizations in Canada, has moved to PetPoint.

As a hosted application, animal welfare organizations using PetPoint can not only better organize and care for their inventory of adoptable pets, but also significantly reduce, if not eliminate, their IT-related infrastructure costs. PetPoint is provided free to animal welfare organizations on the basis that these same organizations use the Company's 24PetWatch microchip program for all companion animals adopted and promote the Company's pet insurance programs.

"The Hamilton/Burlington SPCA has a long history of dedicated service to animal welfare in its community," says Mark Warren, President and CEO of Pethealth, Inc. "Joining the PetPoint family will help their staff achieve greater levels of efficiency within their daily operations so they can focus more time and resources on their animal welfare initiatives."

In addition to now using PetPoint and 24PetWatch microchips, HBSPCA will be able to offer new adopters the complimentary 6-week Ontario SPCA Gift of Insurance for dogs and cats, available through branches and affiliates of the Ontario SPCA under Ontario SPCA Pet Insurance, a white-label insurance program provided through Pethealth. The Ontario SPCA Gift covers the most common illnesses and accidents occurring to dogs and cats after an adoption.

Adoptable pets from HBSPCA will also be uploaded via PetPoint to Petango.com, the only nationwide database of adoptable animals in North America fuelled exclusively by live animal data feeds and a leading online destination for adoptable pet search.

"The combination of PetPoint, the Ontario SPCA Gift of Insurance, and the 24PetWatch microchip and lost pet recovery program has allowed us to streamline our operations at an affordable price point," says Keith Scott, CEO of the Hamilton/Burlington SPCA. "The system was easy for our staff to learn and I am very pleased with the quality and reliability of the PetPoint Help Desk. The ability to update animals available for adoption in real-time on our website and on Petango.com is an added bonus, ensuring potential adopters will have the most current information at their fingertips. The PetPoint Animal Management System has delivered a comprehensive, value-added package of software and benefits to meet the unique needs of our organization."

Currently, all 14 branches of the Ontario SPCA offering animal adoption services and 18 affiliate organizations, including the Hamilton/Burlington SPCA, license PetPoint. In 2010, PetPoint recorded over 58,200 animal intakes in Ontario of which over 18,500 resulted in the completion of a successful adoption. Via PetPoint, more data on animal welfare operations in Ontario is now being aggregated than ever before, giving Ontario SPCA branches and affiliates a true representation of the state of animal welfare in the province.

Since it was first introduced in 2005, PetPoint has been licensed by over 1,600 animal welfare organizations in North America, allowing the Company to aggregate more animal welfare data than any other organization.
