Pethealth Inc. Announces the New Hampshire Humane Society is the 1,500th Shelter to License PetPoint

New England Animal Welfare Organization Now Operating the Most Widely Used Animal Management Application in the United States and Canada

OAKVILLE, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Nov. 11, 2010) - Pethealth Inc. (TSX:PTZ) ("Pethealth" or the "Company"), the leading provider of animal management software and RFID microchip technology for animal welfare organizations, is pleased to announce that the New Hampshire Humane Society (NHHS), one of the oldest animal welfare organizations in New England, has become the 1,500th shelter to license PetPoint. Every business day an average of one new animal welfare organization licenses PetPoint.

As a SaaS ("Software as a Service") application, PetPoint not only helps shelters to better organize and manage their daily operations but also to reduce, if not eliminate, IT related infrastructure costs. It also enhances operational reporting allowing animal welfare organizations to track aggregate data on a monthly and annual basis. PetPoint is provided free to animal welfare organizations on the basis that these same organizations use 24PetWatch microchips in their adoption process. The 24PetWatch microchip program was launched by Pethealth in 2003.

"We are extremely proud of our PetPoint animal management system and thrilled to welcome the New Hampshire Humane Society to the PetPoint Partnership," says Christa Chadwick, Director, North American Shelter Outreach at Pethealth, Inc. "With the fourth highest adoption rate in New England, the New Hampshire Humane Society is a leader in its region and we look forward to being a part of their continued success."

In addition to using PetPoint, the Society's adoptable animals can now be found at, one of the nation's most visited websites for companion animal related content. Powered by PetPoint, Petango is the only adoptable search site using exclusively live animal data feeds as it is the only site connected directly to the software application run by shelters. Petango was launched in May 2009.

"We are very excited to be the 1,500th animal shelter to license PetPoint software," says Mary DiMaria, Executive Director of the NHHS. "Ever since I received a demonstration at an Animal Expo, I have been impressed by the capabilities of the system and how much it will enhance our ability to use the database to track our animals. Additionally, the ease of uploading our animals to Petango means we can look forward to increasing our visibility beyond the New England region."

The success of PetPoint has allowed the Company to aggregate data on nearly 7-million animal intakes and over 2.4-million pet adoptions since the product was first launched in March 2005. More recently, the application has been positioned to provide logistical support in the growing area of animal transport. More transport related pet data is aggregated via PetPoint every month than any other single source, and more animal welfare organizations rely on PetPoint to co-ordinate their transport needs than any other software application.

The New Hampshire Humane Society has received the coveted 4-star rating from Charity Navigator two years in a row for exceptional charitable services and cares for up to 1,600 surrendered pets annually.
