Pethealth Inc. Makes Second Donation to American Breast Cancer Foundation Through 'Recover a Pet, Uncover a Cure' Campaign

Company supports fight against cancer through promotion of exclusive new MiniChip(TM) for pet identification and responsible pet ownership

OAKVILLE, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - July 31, 2012) - Pethealth Inc. ("Pethealth" or the "Company") (TSX:PTZ) is pleased to announce its second donation to the American Breast Cancer Foundation ("ABCF") through its 'Recover a Pet, Uncover a Cure' campaign, this time in the amount of $14,025, based on sales of microchips in the United States completed in Q2, 2012. The Q2 donation brings the Company's total contribution to the ABCF to a value of nearly $30,000 since the program launch early in 2012.

The ongoing 'Recover a Pet, Uncover a Cure' campaign is designed to raise awareness about the MiniChip™, offered in the United States exclusively through the Company's 24PetWatch Lost Pet Recovery program, and the fight against breast cancer. Through an agreement signed with the not-for-profit organization in January, a portion of the purchase price of every MiniChip sold in the United States will be donated each quarter to support ABCF programs.

The Allflex manufactured MiniChip is an innovative new microchip identification technology suitable for all companion animals but designed for small animals such as cats, kittens, and small breed dogs. At one third the size of standard microchip technology, it offers a far less invasive form of permanent identification with all the same protective benefits.

The 'Recover a Pet, Uncover a Cure' campaign leverages the power of the color pink, globally associated with breast health and cancer research, through the design of the MiniChip kit, associated pet identification tags, and supporting communications.

Over 320 animal welfare organizations and veterinary clinics in the United States have participated in the campaign to date, marking a 75% increase in purchasing organizations since the Company reported its initial Q1 donation in April. Pet owners and interested parties can find a complete list of participating clinics and animal welfare groups on the Company's 24PetWatch website at http://www.24petwatch.com/recover-a-pet.aspx.
