Pethealth Inc. Partners with Wisconsin Humane Society

Nationally Recognized Animal Welfare Organization Partners With Leading Pet Insurance Provider to Offer Comprehensive Private-Labelled Insurance

OAKVILLE, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - July 11, 2011) - Pethealth Inc. ("Pethealth" or the "Company") (TSX:PTZ), the second largest provider of pet health insurance, and the leading provider of management software and RFID microchip technology to animal welfare organizations in the United States and Canada, is pleased to announce it has signed a strategic agreement with the Wisconsin Humane Society. Under the terms of the agreement and expanding on its existing relationship with the Wisconsin Humane Society, Pethealth will now offer the Wisconsin Humane Society Pet Insurance Program ("WHS Pet Insurance"), a comprehensive line of pet health insurance packages covering accidents and illnesses, including hereditary conditions, for dogs and cats.

The Wisconsin Humane Society is a nationally recognized leader in animal welfare in the United States, facilitating 10,000 adoptions annually in addition to providing medical care for nearly 20,000 animals each year. In 2004, the Wisconsin Humane Society merged with the Ozaukee Humane Society, and opened a new Ozaukee animal shelter in Saukville, Wisconsin in March 2011. The Wisconsin Humane Society is the largest animal welfare organization in the state of Wisconsin.

"The financial security afforded by pet insurance has come to play an increasingly important role in animal welfare," says Anne Reed, Executive Director of Wisconsin Humane Society in Milwaukee, Wis. "Our longstanding relationship with Pethealth made them a natural choice for this partnership. Pethealth has developed a white-labelled insurance program through which we will be able to offer our new adopters and community members affordable medical coverage for their companion animals that is both comprehensive and simple to understand and apply. We are very pleased with this program and confident it will meet the needs of Wisconsin's companion animal guardians."

Policy holders will be able to choose their monthly premium and deductible levels for the same comprehensive program. In addition to offering blanket limit coverage, senior pets are also eligible and premiums will not increase with age. Pethealth will offer policies to dog and cat owners in Wisconsin. Additionally, Pethealth will promote the program to the Wisconsin Humane Society's friends and clients through their websites, email newsletters, print publications, and classes.

"The Wisconsin Humane Society is not only one of the most respected organizations in the United States, but as an organization that has worked with us almost from the start, their insights and knowledge of the animal welfare industry have played a guiding role in our own growth and ability to meet the needs of animal welfare groups across North America," says Mark Warren, President and CEO of Pethealth Inc. "Entering this next stage in our partnership, it is both an honour and a pleasure to extend our relationship through the new Wisconsin Humane Society Pet Insurance Programs. I have tremendous respect for their organization and look forward to our continued mutual success."

The Company began working with the Wisconsin Humane Society in 2002 as one of the early adopters of its ShelterCare Insurance program. In 2003, the Wisconsin Humane Society became one of the first organizations to adopt the Company's 24PetWatch microchip program, through which adoptable pets are microchipped and registered at point of adoption to increase registration and return rates. With the launch of the Company's PetPoint animal management system in 2005, the Wisconsin Humane Society was one of two beta shelters to test the new software and still licenses PetPoint today. As a hosted application, PetPoint helps animal welfare groups manage their daily operations, reduce IT-related operational costs, and improve reporting. Pethealth remains the exclusive provider of microchips to the Wisconsin Humane Society through its 24PetWatch microchip program.

WHS Pet Insurance will be available for free quotes and purchase online at www.whsinsurance.com or by phone at 1-866-600-2584, with discounts available for volunteers and staff in animal welfare.
