Petro-Reef Resources Ltd. Appointment of Director and Chief Accountant

CALGARY, ALBERTA--(Marketwire - Feb. 8, 2011) - Petro-Reef Resources Ltd. (TSX VENTURE:PER) is pleased to announce that Mr. Paul Lawrence, C.A., has agreed to join the Board of Directors of the Corporation replacing Mr. John Pantazopoulos, C.F.A. who has resigned. 

Mr. Lawrence brings to the Board, thirty (30) years of experience as a Chartered Accountant in the oil and gas industry. In conjunction with his appointment as a director, Mr. Lawrence has been granted a 300,000 share stock options priced at $0.43 per share.

In addition the Corporation has hired Mr. Hugh Thomson, C.A. Mr. Thomson has accepted the position as Chief Accountant. Mr. Thomson brings twenty-nine (29) years of experience to Petro-Reef Resources Ltd. Mr. Thomson has been granted 400,000 share stock options priced at $0.43 per share.

Mr. Lawrence and Mr. Thomson are both well known and highly respected members of the Alberta oil and gas industry.
