Petrobras to Build 300,000-Barrel Premium II Refinery in Northeastern Brazil, an Industrial Info News Alert

CORDOBA, ARGENTINA--(Marketwire - September 11, 2008) - Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas )-- Petrobras (NYSE:PBR) (Rio de Janeiro, Brazil) and the government of Ceara state signed a protocol of understanding on August 20 with the intention of building a refinery in Ceara in northeastern Brazil. The plant will be called Premium II. Premium I will be built in Maranhao state, also in northeastern Brazil. The $11.1 billion Premium II refinery will have a capacity of 300,000 barrels per day (BBL/d).
