QUÉBEC CITY, QUÉBEC--(Marketwired - Sept. 4, 2014) - Pétrolia (TSX VENTURE:PEA) (the "Corporation") is pleased to announce that it has closed a private placement. The Corporation has issued an aggregate of 2,949,323 "flow-through" shares at a price of $0.85 per share, for gross proceeds of $2,506,924.55. Such proceeds will be used by the Corporation to incur Canadian exploration expenses on the Corporation's properties located in the Province of Quebec.
As consideration for their services, Secutor Capital Management Corp. received a finder's fee equal to 5% of the gross proceeds of the offering.
All securities issued pursuant to this private placement are subject to a hold period ending on January 5th, 2015.
As a result of the issuance of the securities, the Corporation has 77,616,695 common shares issued and outstanding.
Taking into consideration the proceeds of this private placement, the Company now has approximately $6 million in cash to fund its working capital requirements and its share of the Company's exploration programs.
Pétrolia is a junior oil and gas exploration company which owns interests in oil and gas licenses covering 16,000 km² (4 million acres), which represents almost 23% of the Québec territory under lease.
