Petrolia Increases Its Working Interest in Haldimand

QUEBEC CITY, QUEBEC--(Marketwire - Oct. 19, 2009) - Petrolia (TSX VENTURE:PEA) is pleased to announce that it has entered into an agreement with its partner, Gastem, for the acquisition of their working interest (10%) in the Haldimand property, located near the town of Gaspe, Quebec.

This transfer of interest is effective as of October 1, 2009. The transfer was concluded in accordance with the terms of the Haldimand Joint Operating Agreement, signed by the partners in May 2008. As a result of this new agreement, Petrolia's working interest in the project will be around 65 %. Petrolia will continue to act as operator of the project.

Keeping track of drilling operations

In order to allow investors to keep track of drilling operations, to learn more about equipment and techniques and to better understand the process, Petrolia has created an informative section in its web site ( called ''Drill site progress''. This section will be updated on a regular and will include description of each step of the drilling process.
