PETsMART Charities' National Adoption Weekend Seeks Homes for 16,000 Homeless Pets

More Than 720 PETsMART Stores Help to Reduce Pet Overpopulation Through Adoption

PHOENIX, AZ -- (MARKET WIRE) -- March 23, 2005 -- An average of more than 5,000 abandoned and homeless pets hope to find homes each day during the PETsMART Charities National Adoption Weekend.

Homeless cats and dogs will be available for adoption at every PETsMART store from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, April 29 and Saturday, April 30, and from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday, May 1. Families who adopt a pet during this event will receive a special New Pet & Parent guide, with more than $35 in valuable PETsMART coupons, including a special offer from Authority®.
