PGA Golfer Zach Johnson Has the Power...of the Transamerica Pyramid
Sponsor's Logo to Be Featured on Johnson's Cap
CEDAR RAPIDS, IA--(Marketwire - January 7, 2011) - Zach Johnson is kicking off the 2011 PGA Golf Season with The Power of the Pyramid®. This year, he'll don a cap with the iconic Transamerica Pyramid front and center. Transamerica Corporation is a subsidiary of one of Johnson's sponsors, international life insurance, pension and investment company, AEGON N.V. Previously, Johnson's cap featured AEGON's logo.
Why make the switch from AEGON to Transamerica? "AEGON has great value as our corporate brand," says Bill Tate, Senior Vice President, Transamerica Corporation. "Zach has a tremendous capacity to connect with people, and in the U.S., Transamerica is our flagship retail brand. So, it makes sense to feature the brand that people relate to and recognize."
Transamerica and AEGON logos will be featured on Zach's shirt and other apparel. Taylor Leon and Kyle Stanley -- who also are a part of AEGON's team of outstanding young golf professionals -- will sport these logos on their apparel as well.
Transamerica Corporation's subsidiaries offer a wide array of innovative financial services and products with a common purpose. Regardless of the distribution method, our mission is to help individuals, families, and businesses build, protect, and preserve their hard-earned assets. With more than a century of experience, we have built our reputation on solid management, sound decisions, and consumer confidence.
AEGON N.V. is an international life insurance, pension and investment company based in The Hague, The Netherlands. With businesses in over twenty markets in the Americas, Europe and Asia, the AEGON companies employ approximately 28,000 people and have over 40 million customers across the globe. In the U.S., AEGON companies provide clients with a full range of insurance, investment, pension and supplemental health products.
