Pharmacy Industry Leaders Chudy & Fellows Partner to Form CentralRx, a Provider of Pharmacy Central Fill Systems

POWERS LAKE, WI--(Marketwire - Aug 17, 2011) - Pharmacy technology leaders Duane Chudy, TCGRx CEO, and Gene Fellows, Integrated and Automation Solutions CEO, announced a new partnership, CentralRx, to meet the growing industry need for a full service central pharmacy fill solution provider. This partnership provides pharmacies and healthcare settings a single turnkey provider for central fill consultation, design, equipment, implementation and service.

The pharmaceutical market has trended towards an increase in prescription volume and a shortage of pharmacists. Creating central pharmacy fulfillment centers that can accurately fill the increased prescription volume and expedite the pharmacist medication check process is an immediate need. CentralRx will provide central fill solutions for prescription filling, pharmacist checking, and sorting at a single location, followed by delivery to patients' pharmacies or mailing to patients' homes.

CentralRx customers benefit from the combined expertise of the TCGRx (TCG) and Integrated and Automation Solutions (IAS) teams. TCG CEO Chudy stated, "The synergy of the partnership is that we can reduce the footprint of the central fill system and deliver the best solution at a lower cost."

"Recognizing the market demand, we realized there had to be a better way to provide and service central fill systems cohesively from start to finish. Duane and I have worked parallel to one another throughout our many years in the industry and determined it was time to combine efforts to provide the most effective central fill solution on the market," said Fellows, CentralRx Partner.

About Integration and Automation Solutions

In 1981, the principles of Integration and Automation Solutions (IAS) emerged when the founders began developing computer controlled factory automation and distribution systems. In 1984, their expertise expanded to include medium and high-speed sorting systems, unit and pallet load automated storage and retrieval systems (ASRS's), vertical and horizontal carousels, and palletizers. By 1988, their concentration shifted to the automotive industry where they gained experience developing precision positioning conveyor systems, robotics, overhead "power and free" systems, computer controlled shuttles and lifts, and "just in time" inventory delivery systems.

By 1991, the founders' interest shifted to the emerging mail service pharmacy market and their concentration has been in that area ever since. Backed by three generations of automation experience along with eight pharmacy-related patents, IAS now develops and installs custom, robust, and cost effective products and systems for the high volume pharmacy market to increase productivity, accuracy and profits. IAS headquarters is located in Allentown, PA. For more information, visit www.iasinnovators.com or call 610-573-8980.
