PhibroWood Introduces Sustain™ Wood Preservative System

RIDGEFIELD PARK, NJ--(Marketwire - December 3, 2007) - PhibroWood, LLC ("PhibroWood"), Phibro Animal Health Corporation's wood treatment chemical subsidiary, is proud to introduce Sustain™ 20T wood preservative system following a review by the International Code Council ("ICC"). Please refer to ICC-ES Evaluation Report No. ESR-2325. Sustain 20T is a groundbreaking micronized copper azole system that represents the next generation of wood preservatives.

Sustain 20T's revolutionary performance characteristics have led to retention levels of 0.07 pcf for above ground use and 0.16 pcf for ground contact use. These retention levels are over 50% lower than the retention levels currently mandated for Osmose's competing micronized copper quaternary system.

PhibroWood anticipates that Sustain 20T's many advantages will allow its customers a meaningful competitive advantage in the marketplace in terms of quality and overall cost. PhibroWood expects the micronized copper azole system represented by products like Sustain 20T to be the leading copper-based wood preservative used in the future. The micronized copper technology in the Sustain 20T product can be traced to technology developed by PhibroWood's affiliate, Phibro-Tech, Inc., in the 1990s.

Sustain 20T may now be ordered for delivery from PhibroWood's Sumter, SC facility.

PhibroWood continues to produce and offer PhibroWood™-CQ, an alkaline copper quaternary product, from facilities in Sumter, SC and Joliet, IL, and also anticipates offering Sustain 20CQ in early 2008, a micronized copper Carboquat system for those customers looking to alternate treating wood with copper quaternary systems and micronized copper in a shared cylinder.

PhibroWood and its affiliate Phibro-Tech, Inc., The Copper Chemical Company, are the leaders in copper chemistry, formulation and particle size control technology.
