NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwired - November 16, 2016) - Travel industry research authority Phocuswright announced the winners of Battleground, Summit and Launch, held on Nov. 16, during The Phocuswright Conference currently underway in Los Angeles, Calif. The newly launched Phocuswright Innovation events determined the most innovative companies in travel across the globe. A total of 67 companies, ranging from startups to established, demonstrated groundbreaking applications and solutions set to change the travel landscape, competing for the most coveted travel innovation awards.

Winners were chosen by a panel of Dragons comprised of travel and technology experts. During Battleground, three of the 24 innovators were chosen to demonstrate at Summit on Tuesday.

Summit Dragons determined the top innovation in two categories -- Startup and Emerging. Attendees of The Phocuswright Conference determined the People's Choice Award, and one company was selected to win the Brand USA Award for Travel Marketing Innovation. Additionally, one company was awarded the General Catalyst Award for Travel Innovation, which comes with the $100,000 convertible note.
