Phoenix Integrated Store Consultants Promotes Community Involvement

SANDY SPRINGS, GA--(Marketwired - Jan 27, 2016) - This new year has been the cause of celebration and community involvement for Phoenix Integrated Store Consultants' initiative Phoenix Cares. Since November 2015, Phoenix Cares representatives have supported local charities like Toys for Tots, Families First, the Atlanta Community Food Bank, and the Salvation Army. When asked about the reason for Phoenix's philanthropy, Market Manager, CJ Young, asserted, "It's bigger than us. It's about acknowledging the people who don't have it as well as we do. I always want to give back."

Phoenix Integrated Store Consultants started their Phoenix Cares Initiative in April of 2014 as a way to invest in their employees both personally and professionally. The program gives Phoenix representatives an outlet to support local causes and charities on company time while participating in the management training program. All community service activities are hand selected by employees. Phoenix's Community Service Advocate, Halie Waddell, stated, "We have a family-oriented culture, and company events that benefit the community enable employees to key into the company's culture by giving them personal support from coworkers in pursuit of causes that are near and dear to their hearts." Phoenix Cares participants have been particularly busy since the holiday season began, sharing their time and fundraising for local causes in the fourth quarter.

In addition to monthly initiatives, the company hosts annual fundraising events for organizations like the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Georgia®. Each year, Phoenix Integrated Store Consultants teams up with the Wing Factory to host Wings for Wishes, a sponsored wing-eating competition to benefit Make-A-Wish®. Office Manager, Kim Young, remarked, "Wings for Wishes is my favorite community service event by far! It's a huge wing-eating competition put together by our Phoenix Cares Program Coordinator, Halie Waddell, and our partner in this event, The Wing Factory. It's a time where when our Phoenix Family comes together to have fun, bond, and enjoy great food and music all for a great cause. I'm certainly looking forward to this year's event!"

More recently, Phoenix Cares has teamed up with a local homeless shelter, called Seven Bridges to Recovery, to make dinner and socialize with local homeless neighbors. Volunteers from Phoenix Cares will be cooking dinner for the shelter's inhabitants on January 27, 2015. Phoenix Cares members feel very strongly about the growing homeless population in the greater Atlanta area. In December, Team Leader, Evon Rice, did a Sock and Scarf Drive to help homeless neighbors stay warm during the winter months. As entrepreneurs, Phoenix Cares members feel that it is important to give back.

Market Manager, CJ Young, asserted, "No matter how bad you think you may have it, there is always someone out there who has it worse." Managers working at the company are expected to participate in Phoenix Cares because it provides them with the opportunity to get in the habit of giving back and paying it forward which is a crucial skill for anyone trying to reach leadership. For 2016, Young announced that the company plans to continue their philanthropy further by branching out to organizations that support cancer research and treatment for children.
