Phoenix Integrated Store Consultants Teams Up With the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Georgia(R)

ATLANTA, GA--(Marketwired - Jul 29, 2015) -  Phoenix Integrated Store Consultants is proud to announce their partnership with the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Georgia® for the second year in a row for the company's annual Wings for Wishes Competition. This year the event will be held at the Wing Factory, owned by Corporate Sponsor, Kevin Parker, on Cumberland Boulevard in Atlanta. Wings for Wishes will take place on August 7th at 9PM and is open to Phoenix employees, family, friends, and the public. During the event, Phoenix employees will participate in a sponsored wing-eating competition to raise both money and awareness for the Make-A-Wish Foundation®, an organization which grants wishes for children diagnosed with a life-threatening medical conditions in the United States and its territories.

Last year, Phoenix Integrated Store Consultants was able to raise $1400 to help send a five-year-old boy, suffering from a rare form of kidney cancer, on a cruise to the Bahamas on the Disney Cruise Line. This year, Phoenix plans to top their contribution by setting a minimum fundraising goal for $2000. Wings for Wishes participants from last year are jumping on board once more to help support the event. One contestant from 2014, Leo Smith, has already signed up for the 2015 event, stating, "Wings for Wishes was awesome. The opportunity to help those in need as well as eating wings to do it was an opportunity like no other. This time around will be even better than last year guaranteed!" The fundraiser, which combines two of Phoenix's favorite things -- food and fun -- will be just one of many community service activities that the organization has supported through their Phoenix Cares outreach program this year.

Community Service Advocate for Phoenix, Halie Waddell, who has planned Wings for Wishes two years in a row commented on the event, asserting, "We began to think about doing a fundraiser for Make-A-Wish® at one of our famous team nights at the local restaurant last June. Everyone on staff loves wings, so we thought: why not try wing demolition on a mission? We love giving back to the Atlanta community and making a difference." Phoenix Integrated Store Consultants is an organization founded on the premise of giving back and lifting others up inside and outside of the business which is one of the reasons Phoenix was listed on the list of Atlanta's Best and Brightest Companies to Work for in 2015.

The wing-eating competition will begin at 9PM on Friday, August 7th at The Wing Factory on Cumberland Boulevard in Atlanta. The event will include the wing-eating competition fundraiser, Karaoke, and a team night with Phoenix. All proceeds from the night will go directly to the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Georgia® to assist them in their mission to help children battling life threatening conditions in the area.

Phoenix Integrated Store Consultants believes that in order to rise as a business, a company must pay it forward in any way that it can. The company's community service initiative, Phoenix Cares, was created to give Phoenix employees an outlet to support the organizations in the Atlanta community that are near and dear to their hearts.
