Phoenix Oilfield Hauling Inc. ("Phoenix" or the "Company") (TSX VENTURE:PHN) is pleased to announce that Richard Gelder has been appointed President of the Company, subject to the approval of the TSX Venture Exchange.
Mr. Gelder has over 30 years experience in the transportation industry, of which he has spent over 11 years in senior management positions. Mr. Gelder spent the last six years overseeing national and international air and ground projects in North America, the Middle East and Africa. Phoenix will utilize Mr. Gelder's extensive transportation experience to help lead the Company's expansion into the United States and other new markets in response to major oil and gas upstream customers' need for safe and professional services to support their drilling infrastructure. Mr. Gelder will start with Phoenix on October 11, 2011.
David Werklund, will remain as Interim Chief Executive Officer of the Company. Mr. Werklund stated: "We are very pleased to be able to add a person of Richard's caliber to our team.
