Photo Opportunity: Join Anna Silk at Plan Canada's "Order Up Equality" Truck to Support Girls' Rights

TORONTO, ON--(Marketwired - October 05, 2015) - In recognition of the fourth annual International Day of the Girl on October 11, 2015, Plan Canada is calling on all Canadians to order up equality, inspire hope and create awareness about gender discrimination.

On October 7 in Toronto, join Plan Canada’s newest Celebrated Ambassador, actor Anna Silk who stars as Bo on the hit TV series Lost Girl, to learn more about gender equality. At the truck, visitors can take the pledge for girls’ rights and demonstrate their commitment to helping create a brighter future for everyone -- because we are all equal. For every pledge taken at the truck or online at becauseiamagirl.ca/pledgeforgirls Sears Canada will donate $1 to Plan Canada’s Because I am a Girl initiative.

When:

  • Wednesday, October 7, 2015
  • Photo/Interview opportunity: 9:30 a.m. -- 10:30 a.m.
  • The “Order Up Equality” truck will be on site from 7:30 a.m. -- 7:00 p.m.
