What: On May 2nd, 2012, McDonald's restaurants in Toronto will join more than 1,400 restaurants across the country to celebrate the 19th McHappy Day.
On this day, $1 from every Big Mac® sandwich, Happy Meal® and hot McCafé® beverage (including brewed coffee and tea) sold will go to local children's charities across the country, such as Ronald McDonald House®. In addition, many restaurants will hold fundraising events leading up to McHappy Day.
To help celebrate this special day, a variety of special guests, sports and media personalities, politicians and professional entertainers will appear at local McDonald's restaurant for special events throughout the day to help raise money for Ronald McDonald House Toronto.
Since its inception in 1977, McHappy Day has raised nearly $35 million for Canadian children.
