MPs Say NO to Casualisation, YES to Equal Treatment for Agency Workers

MPs backing Andrew Miller MP's private member's bill to end the employment discrimination faced by the UK's 1.4 million plus agency workers will gather to mark the vital Second Reading debate this Friday, 22nd February 2008.

Andrew Miller's bill will ensure agency workers are entitled to the same rate of pay, sick pay, holidays and overtime pay as directly employed workers, and in doing so remove the inducement to use agency workers to undercut the terms of directly employed workers.

A photo-opportunity will take place shortly after the conclusion of the Second Reading debate, expected to be around lunchtime on 22nd February. (We are sorry that we cannot give a more accurate time at present but it all depends on how long MPs debate the Miller bill.)

The pictures will record the tremendous support Labour MPs have shown for the Bill throughout the campaign to spotlight the mistreatment of an emerging casualised workforce.
