Physician Groups Select NHXS to Provide Contract Compliance and Decision Support Solutions

SACRAMENTO, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- February 28, 2007 -- National Healthcare Exchange Services, Inc. (PINKSHEETS: NHCR), headquartered here, said today it signed contracts with two new medical provider groups representing more than 270 providers. These groups will use eobResolve™ to improve contract compliance and revenue recovery in addition to the contract modeling and point of service pricing features.

These groups include:

Trinity Clinic of Tyler, Texas

Bay Valley Medical Group, Inc. of Hayward, California

National Healthcare Exchange Services (NHXS) provides turnkey solutions to improve payment accuracy and reduce dispute resolution costs for physicians and hospitals. The NHXS rules engine maintains fee schedule, pricing, and clinical edit logic for each payor and automatically identifies and disputes underpayments.

"Like many other medical groups, we are constantly challenged to maintain our operational margins in the face of ever-increasing bureaucratic demands by payers and governmental agencies," explains Erwing Schrittwieser, CFO for Bay Valley Medical Group. "By integrating eobResolve™ with our billing system, we expect to increase recoveries from underpayments, and leverage the productivity gains from eobResolve™ to improve overall billing performance."

According to Mark W. Rieger, CEO of NHXS, "There is a small but relevant error rate in the payment of medical claims due to the complex rules used. NHXS converts what is typically an expensive and tedious process to one that is simple and automatic.

"By offering physicians and hospitals solutions like eobResolve™, we believe a more satisfactory solution to improve reimbursement accuracy can ultimately be achieved, with major benefits for medical providers," Rieger said.
