Physio Logic Offers Physical Therapy at Its Manhattan Location

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwired - Nov 5, 2015) -  Physio Logic, N.Y. physical rehabilitation, sports medicine and Pilates practice, announces the addition of Pilates-based physical therapy services to its Manhattan studio commencing Dec. 1. The studio at 115 East 82nd St. is located four blocks away from the 86th St. subway station running the 4/5/6 trains.

The physical therapy services addition aims to benefit the Upper East Side community -- specifically, expectant mothers; mothers who have just given birth; people in need of rehabilitative care from sport- or work-related injuries; and individuals seeking to improve their bodies' mobility and overall quality of life.

Unlike many physical therapy clinics in the Manhattan area, Physio Logic offers one-on-one treatment combining conventional physical therapy techniques with Pilates for a total-body approach. The treatment techniques aim to condition the core for all types of injuries and conditions. This approach is effective in developing a strong core and improved flexibility, and will aid daily life and sports activities.

The Manhattan Physio Logic location is staffed with two physical therapists, Dr. Erin Weber, DPT and Dr. Amanda Robotti, DPT. Both are trained in BASI Pilates for mat- and equipment-based exercises.

In addition to Weber and Robotti's vast knowledge of musculoskeletal, neurological, and rehabilitation therapy, each excels in specific areas of physical therapy.

Weber has fulfilled her passion to focus on women's issues. She is trained through the Herman and Wallace Institute to treat female pelvic floor dysfunction. Incorporating these skills to her repertoire has given her the ability to better treat her patients, looking at both the inside and the outside to facilitate healing.

As a seasoned marathon runner, Robotti has great insight into athletes' physical challenges. Through her own experience with these challenges, she has gained a wealth of knowledge on how to properly treat and educate her patients to avoid future sports related injuries.

Physio Logic's Manhattan location will offer physical therapy, as well as continue its private and group Pilates classes.
