Pick 'n Save Is First Wisconsin Retailer to Roll Out Antibacterial Conveyor Belts

MILWAUKEE, WI--(Marketwired - June 22, 2015) - Roundy's Inc. ("Roundy's"), a leading grocer in the Midwest, is implementing the first antibacterial checkout conveyor belts called MessageWrap™ in 10 Milwaukee area Pick 'n Save stores.

Because checkout areas are among the busiest in the store and come in contact with dirt and food remnants, the MessageWraps have antibacterial agents that protect the conveyor belt from mold, mildew, fungus and bacteria.

"We are always looking for ways to enhance the shopping experience for our customers and are thrilled to be the first retailer in this area to offer this unique feature to further our commitment to store cleanliness," said Joe Wood, vice president of marketing for Roundy's.

Along with enhanced cleanliness, the Pick 'n Save MessageWraps feature Pick 'n Save's new Wisconsin Proud branding campaign.

Pick 'n Save plans to incorporate the new antibacterial belts throughout Milwaukee-area stores during the remainder of the year.
