HOUSTON, TX--(Marketwire - Dec 28, 2012) - Tony Aming, President of PIDX International (PIDX), announced that Christopher (Chris) H. Carter will be the Chief Executive Officer of PIDX effective January 1st, 2013. Carter will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of PIDX, and overseeing its growth and continued development as a vital standards organization for the oil & gas industry. Mr. Aming stated, "While volunteers are an important component of PIDX's strength, PIDX's growth and importance to the oil and gas industry demands a full time CEO. This is another step in the evolution of PIDX towards helping improve the capability of all businesses engaged in or with the oil and gas industry to effectively and efficiently conduct e-business with each other."
Chris has held IT leadership positions in companies in the oil & gas and telecommunications industries, as well as various strategic and change management consulting engagements. In addition to leading the global IT organizations for RigNet, Inc. and CapRock Communications, Chris served as Director of E-Commerce for National-Oilwell Varco, Inc. He has spent his 18-year career in Information Technology focusing on facilitating and streamlining the electronic business value chain.
Chris holds a B.A. in Computer Information Systems from Washburn University, and a J.D. from the University of Kansas.
Mr. Aming will assume the role of Past President effective immediately. Tony stated, "I will continue as a volunteer and will fill that important role on the Executive Committee as Past President to ensure a smooth transition and to support Chris as needed. We look forward to his successes and PIDX's increasing role to provide value to the oil and gas industry."
