PikFly Launches Local-Centric Delivery Service to Phoenix Metro Area

New Service Combines the Convenience of Delivery and the Community Value of Shopping Local

PHOENIX, AZ--(Marketwired - Apr 2, 2015) - PikFly, an online marketplace exclusive to local, independent merchants offering same-day delivery, today launches its delivery service covering the Phoenix metropolitan area. For a minimal fee, consumers can order from local businesses online from PikFly's merchant marketplace and receive the order delivered in as little as an hour.

"Supporting our local merchants means putting money back into our local community and strengthening the resources nearest to us. The Arizona economy is on the rebound and by shopping local we're helping to continue the upward swing," said PikFly CEO Mike Auger. "At PikFly we're committed to putting local first and so are our merchants. By making shopping local online a reality, we're meeting the needs of our customers as well as supporting the businesses that make Phoenix great."

Delivering on its commitment to local business growth, PikFly has partnered with Local First to offer Localists a 40 percent discount on delivery fees for any products ordered through PikFly for an entire year starting April 1. In addition, PikFly will match every dollar of the discount as a donation given back to Local First.

"When Arizonans choose to shop at local businesses over national chains, up to four times more money stays in the local economy," said Kimber Lanning, director of Local First Arizona. "PikFly provides a new opportunity to support local businesses and keep money in our community. By making it easier for people to purchase local products, consumers will have an outlet to shop at companies right here in Arizona. PikFly's innovative solution to local online shopping and same day delivery shows how Phoenix has become a hub for startups and entrepreneurs, which is vital for economic growth."

PikFly is also enriching the economy by creating multiple jobs by filling its Navigator positions. PikFly Navigators will benefit from the flexible, revenue sharing model made attractive by Uber and Lyft. Locals will have the opportunity to sign up as Navigators to make supplemental income delivering packages from merchants to consumers. The Navigator chooses their own work schedule and can modify their delivery area or the type of packages they deliver. Delivery is available seven days a week from 6am to 11pm.

PikFly delivery costs start as low as $6.95. The company currently has 62 local merchants available in the PikFly marketplace. To learn more or to place an order, please visit
