MONTREAL, QUEBEC--(CCNMatthews - March 19, 2007) - Today more than 20,000 pilgrims will converge on Mount Royal to honour Saint Joseph, Patron Saint of the Oratory and Canada. Three solemn Masses will be held in the Basilica: at 10:00 a.m. with Bishop Louis Dicaire, Auxiliary Bishop of the Diocese of Saint-Jean-Longueuil; at 2:30 p.m. with Bishop Luc Cyr, Bishop of the Diocese of Valleyfield, and at 8:00 p.m. with His Eminence Jean-Claude Cardinal Turcotte, Archbishop of the Archdiocese of Montreal. The Petits Chanteurs du Mont-Royal will sing at each mass accompanied by organist Philippe Belanger.

Thousands of pilgrims and more than 200 groups from parishes across Quebec, the rest of Canada, and the United States have made the pilgrimage for the 86th novena at Saint Joseph's Oratory of Mount Royal with the theme "His mercy is approaching". The novena is the high point of the year at Saint Joseph's Oratory.
