Health Canada today issued an Information Update to remind Canadians of hamburger food safety tips.

OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - June 6, 2008) - As part of a pilot project to extend the reach and distribution of the department's risk communications activities, Health Canada has produced a number of audio files (MP3 format) to accompany the release of the Information Update titled Health Canada Reminds Canadians of Hamburger Food Safety Tips. The audio files include health tips and commentary on this subject provided by Health Canada experts.

Media are given the choice to use the full story, as recorded by Health Canada, or to the use individual files provided to assemble their own story.

The files and a full script can be accessed at the Health Canada Web site at: www.hc-sc.gc.ca/ahc-asc/media/advisories-avis/_2008/2008_74-aud-eng.php

While the project is expected to be of primary interest to journalists and producers working in radio, all media and the public are invited to listen to the files and provide feedback.
