PIMCO Announces 2015 Managing Directors


NEWPORT BEACH, CA--(Marketwired - Mar 27, 2015) - PIMCO is pleased to announce the promotion of following Managing Directors.

Richard Clarida, Ph.D.
Mr. Clarida is a managing director in the New York office and PIMCO's global strategic advisor. In this capacity he leads PIMCO's annual Secular Forum and is co-head of the quarterly Cyclical Forum process. Since joining the firm in 2006, he has worked extensively with and advised the firm's central bank and sovereign wealth fund clients. Prior to joining PIMCO, he gained extensive experience in Washington as assistant Treasury secretary, in academia as chairman of the economics department at Columbia University, and in the financial markets at Credit Suisse and Grossman Asset Management. He has 17 years of investment experience and holds a Ph.D. in economics from Harvard University. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Illinois.

David Fisher, CFA
Mr. Fisher is a managing director and product manager in the Newport Beach office, with responsibility for the firm's core fixed income strategies. Prior to joining PIMCO in 2008, he was a managing director and head of global fixed income at Halbis, the asset management arm of HSBC. He previously worked as a global bond portfolio manager at Credit Suisse Asset Management and Fischer Francis Trees & Watts. He has 23 years of investment experience and holds an undergraduate degree from Princeton University.

Richard LeBrun
Mr. LeBrun is a managing director in the Newport Beach office and deputy general counsel, with primary responsibility for the firm's alternative funds and transactions and plaintiff-side litigation. Prior to joining PIMCO in 2005, he was an associate with Ropes & Gray, focusing on investment management and private equity-related matters. He has 15 years of legal experience and holds a J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School. He received an undergraduate degree from Northwood University. He was admitted to the bar in Massachusetts and New York.

John W. Murray
Mr. Murray is a managing director in the Newport Beach office and a portfolio manager focusing on commercial real estate investments. Prior to joining PIMCO in 2009, he structured real estate transactions throughout the U.S. at JER Partners. Before JER Partners, Mr. Murray was in commercial real estate development and construction and also served for three years as a combat engineer officer with the U.S. Army. He has 14 years of investment experience and holds an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. He also holds a master's degree in civil engineering from MIT and a bachelor's degree from Lehigh University.

Kimberley Stafford, CFA
Ms. Stafford is a managing director in the Newport Beach office and global head of the Consultant Relations Group. Ms. Stafford joined PIMCO in 2000 and most recently led the firm's talent management initiatives as the global head of human resources. Previously, she was a member of PIMCO's executive office, contributing to firm-wide strategic, financial and operational initiatives. She also was an account manager in the consultant relations group and an analyst in PIMCO's trade compliance group. She has 15 years of investment experience and holds an MBA from the Marshall School of Business at the University of Southern California. She earned her undergraduate degree at the University of Redlands.
