PIMCO Announces New Managing Directors


NEWPORT BEACH, CA--(Marketwire - Feb 3, 2012) - PIMCO is pleased to announce the promotion of following Managing Directors. Philippe Bodereau
Mr. Bodereau is a managing director in the London office and head of pan-European credit research. He is also the lead analyst for global financial institutions. Prior to joining PIMCO in 2004, he was a senior banking analyst at Société Générale in London and Paris. Mr. Bodereau started his career at JPMorgan in 1996, where he held various positions in the private banking and global markets divisions in Brussels and London. He has 16 years of investment experience and holds a master's degree in finance from French business school EDHEC.

Andrew Bosomworth
Mr. Bosomworth is a managing director in the Munich office and head of PIMCO portfolio management in Germany. Prior to joining PIMCO in 2001, he worked at the European Central Bank as portfolio manager and senior economist. Previously, he worked at Merrill Lynch, trading interest rate swaps, and at New Zealand's Debt Management Office. He has 18 years of investment experience and holds a master's degree in economics from the University of Canterbury, New Zealand. He also graduated from the Advanced Studies Program in International Policy Research at the Kiel Institute in Germany.

William G. De Leon
Mr. De Leon is a managing director in the Newport Beach office and global head of portfolio risk management. He previously served as a portfolio manager focusing on derivatives and absolute return strategies as well as interim head of analytics. He represents PIMCO on the board of ISDA and serves on PIMCO's risk committee and counterparty risk committee. Prior to joining PIMCO in 2007, he was a portfolio manager at Ellington Management Group. Previously, he was a managing director and a senior member of the investment strategy group at BlackRock. He has 21 years of investment experience and holds an undergraduate degree in engineering from the University of Pennsylvania.

Jennifer E. Durham
Ms. Durham is a managing director in the Newport Beach office and chief compliance officer of Pacific Investment Management Company LLC. She also serves as the chief compliance officer for PIMCO Funds, PIMCO Variable Insurance Trust, PIMCO ETF Trust, PIMCO Equity Series and PIMCO Equity Series VIT. Prior to joining PIMCO in 2000, she was a compliance examiner/staff accountant in the investment company/investment adviser examinations branch of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission's Pacific Regional Office. She holds an undergraduate degree in business economics from the University of California at Los Angeles. She has 17 years of experience.

Michael A. Gomez
Mr. Gomez is a managing director in the Newport Beach office, a portfolio manager and co-head of the emerging markets portfolio management team. Prior to joining PIMCO in 2003, he was responsible for market making and proprietary trading of emerging market bonds at Goldman Sachs. Prior to that, he spent a year in Colombia serving as a financial consultant to the Ministry of Finance and Public Credit. Mr. Gomez was named one of the rising stars of mutual funds by Institutional Investor News (2009). He is chairman of the oversight committee for the Markit GEMX emerging markets indices and also serves on other committees pertaining to emerging markets. He has 17 years of investment experience and holds an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, where he also received his undergraduate degree.

Charles M. Lahr, CFA
Mr. Lahr is a managing director in the New York office and a global equity portfolio manager. He is also head of the New York Equity Desk. Prior to joining PIMCO in December 2009, he was a portfolio manager at the Mutual Series Group of Franklin Templeton Investments where he managed the Franklin Mutual Global Discovery Fund and the Mutual Financial Services Fund. In total, Mr. Lahr helped oversee more than $20 billion in investment assets. Earlier in his career, he was a member of the fund management team for the Mutual European and Mutual Beacon Funds and was an international equities research analyst with the State of Wisconsin Investment Board. He has 18 years of investment and financial services experience and holds an MBA and a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Iowa.

Eric J. Mogelof, CFA
Mr. Mogelof is a managing director in the New York office, co-head of PIMCO's institutional business in the Americas, and an account manager. In addition to his institutional servicing responsibilities, he is part of the senior leadership of the New York office. In his previous role, he was a member of PIMCO's Executive Office, contributing to firm-wide strategic, financial and operational initiatives. Mr. Mogelof serves on the steering committee of PIMCO Partners, PIMCO's employee volunteer and community outreach program. He is also a member of PIMCO's Diversity & Culture committee and recently joined the Women's Leadership Network committee, contributing to PIMCO's global diversity initiative. Prior to joining PIMCO, Mr. Mogelof worked as a financial analyst at Salomon Brothers in their investment banking division and was also an associate at Jupiter Partners, a private equity firm. He has 14 years of investment experience and holds an MBA from Harvard Business School. He received an undergraduate degree in mathematics and economics from Yale University.

Peter G. Strelow
Mr. Strelow is a managing director in the Newport Beach office responsible for the PIMCO funds business group. From 2003 to 2006, he worked in the executive office on communications and strategic initiatives. Mr. Strelow joined PIMCO in 2002 to help manage back office operations, focusing on continuous improvement initiatives. Prior to PIMCO, he worked in product management at Siebel Systems. He holds an MBA from the Harvard Business School and an undergraduate degree from the University of California, Berkeley.

Qi Wang
Ms. Wang is a managing director and portfolio manager in the Newport Beach office. Prior to joining PIMCO in 2010, she was with HBK Capital Management for 12 years, most recently as a managing director and partner responsible for the developed market fixed income business. She also managed a diversified fixed income portfolio for the firm. Ms. Wang was previously a fixed income analyst at Lehman Brothers. She has 16 years of investment experience and holds a bachelor's degree in economics and molecular biochemistry and biophysics from Yale University.
