Pink Ribbons Project Selects Tendenci(R) to Power Upgraded Web Site

Increased Web Presence Raises Awareness About Breast Health and Early Detection

HOUSTON, TX--(Marketwire - May 19, 2008) - Pink Ribbons Project, which uses the arts to save lives and improve the quality of life for those touched by breast cancer, has chosen Tendenci Web marketing software to power its new Web site. The new upgraded Web site, www.pinkribbons.org, was designed by Schipul - The Web Marketing Company (www.schipul.com).

Marking its 10th anniversary this year, Pink Ribbons Project was founded by a group of dancers who were individually touched by breast cancer. They selected Schipul and Tendenci to update and improve the organization's Web presence.

"With the help of Schipul and Tendenci we have a fresh new look that is simple to use and makes it easy to find valuable life-saving information," said Susan Rafte, executive director of Pink Ribbons Project. "Web visitors can review our calendar of events, listen to our podcasts, subscribe to our newsletter, review tips about breast health and early detection or make a donation."

Tendenci's content management system (CMS) enables the organization's staff to add and edit Web content quickly and easily without going through a site administrator. Improved navigation makes the site more user-friendly, while Tendenci automates search engine optimization functionality to make the site visible to major search engines such as Google and Yahoo.

Additionally, every page features a contact form, making it easy for visitors to request information. Finally, Tendenci's integrated Really Simple Syndication (RSS) capabilities enable anyone who wants to stay updated on Pink Ribbons Project activities to subscribe to automatically receive updates as they happen.
