Pinnacle Airlines InFlight Division & United Steel Workers Local Wins Tennessee Award for Labor-Management Relations

MEMPHIS, TN -- (MARKET WIRE) -- August 22, 2006 --Pinnacle Airlines (NASDAQ: PNCL) today announced that Pinnacle Airlines InFlight division and the United Steel Workers Local 9-0776, were recognized with the Tennessee Center for Labor-Management Relations Award of Excellence at the TCLMR's annual conference last week in Nashville. This award is presented to a Tennessee-based organization that embodies a joint labor-management relationship which has resulted in the development of enhanced quality, productivity, cost efficiency and morale. This is the highest level for labor-management relations presented in the State of Tennessee.

The award was presented to Philip Reed, Vice-President, Marketing & InFlight Services for Pinnacle Airlines and Mr. Lloyd Walters, Regional Vice-President of the United Steel Workers. Also accepting were Ted Davies, Director, InFlight and Teresa Brents, Local 9-0776 Chapter President.

In her presentation remarks, Dr. Barbara Haskew, Director of the TCLMR stated, "Despite the significant challenges in the difficult airline industry, Pinnacle Airlines and the USW have worked to produce a culture of mutual respect. This has allowed them to achieve remarkable goals in efficiency, employee retention and reliability."

Among recent achievements, Pinnacle and the USW have:

--  Reduced employee turnover by 50%,
--  Developed programs to evaluate flight attendant utilization, on-the-
    job safety, scheduling and training.  This resulted in flight attendant
    reliability of a remarkable 99.98% in 2006,
--  Created operating processes that have reduced Junior Manning (forced
    overtime) to less than 0.01% and the need for reserve or non-productive
    employee counts to less than half the industry average.
