Pioneering Announces Partnership with Acme Fire Expanding its Distributor Network to Include Western Canada

MISSISSAUGA, ONTARIO--(CCNMatthews - March 15, 2007) - Pioneering Technology Inc. of Mississauga, Ontario (TSX VENTURE:PIO), ("Pioneering") announces it has finalized a distributor agreement with Acme Fire and Safety Co. Ltd. of Burnaby, British Columbia ("Acme") to sell and market its Safe-T-element™ in British Columbia, Alberta and Saskatchewan.

Acme is a major supplier and distributor of fire equipment and safety supplies in the Greater Vancouver Area and Lower Mainland from Hope to Whistler and the Sunshine Coast. In addition, Acme supplies products to a 25 sub-dealer network which will help drive sales throughout the western region. Of particular interest is Acme's desire to bring Safe-T-element™ to the rapidly growing senior's population in British Columbia.

According to the U.S. Fire Administration older adults comprise 30% of fire deaths that occur in the home. Approximately 3000 older adults are injured during residential fires each year and stovetop cooking is the leading cause. Acme Fire recently supplied 93 Safe-T-elements to BC Housing's Maple Towers Seniors Complex in Maple Ridge. BC Housing helps support, finance and administer approximately 59,500 units of subsidized housing managed by over 720 different housing sponsors.

Michael Tonolli, President and CEO of Acme Fire said "Safe-T-element™ is a proactive and fire preventative solution that compliments our existing product lines which typically only focus on suppression and detection. The patented Safe-T-element™ differentiates our company from others in the marketplace and enhances our ability to provide turn-key fire safety solutions to the customers that we serve. Safe-T-element™ helps complete our commitment to offering top quality products to serve all of our customer's fire safety needs."

Pioneering CEO Kevin Callahan said, "seniors continue to represent one of the highest risk populations to cooking fires in North America. With our rapidly growing North American distributor network we are quickly becoming able to reach and meet the needs of those who are most vulnerable everywhere. We are very pleased to add a high quality distributor like Acme to our network. Acme helps extend our reach in Canada giving us a presence in virtually every major market from coast to coast."

Mr. Tonolli continued to say "older adults are generally less able to escape a fire. We owe it to ourselves to make the elderly aware of this technology so that they may be protected from the dangers of stovetop cooking."
