Piston Wins Best in Show at SDX for Second Consecutive Year

SAN DIEGO, CA--(Marketwired - Mar 16, 2015) - Piston captured 15 ADDY awards, including Best in Show for Yakult and two Gold awards for Cars.com at the 2015 San Diego American Advertising Awards Gala.

This is the second consecutive year Piston, now part of global communications firm LEWIS PR, took home Best in Show in the Professional Category, topping more than 289 entries from 33 different companies.

"Hosting the San Diego American Advertising Awards is a great way for SDX to showcase the awesome creative talent working in this town, and puts our best work in the national spotlight. The creative work being done by brands and agencies here in San Diego is world-class, and the winning entries from Piston are a true reflection of that," said Michael Warburton, Brand Manager for San Diego Zoo Global and current SDX president.

The American Advertising Awards program is hosted by the American Advertising Federation (AAF), a national advertising trade organization comprising a membership of more than 200 local advertising clubs, including SDX.

ADDY awards were presented in three different categories, including Gold (1st place), Silver (2nd place) and Bronze (3rd place). Categories included digital advertising, sales promotion, collateral materials, direct marketing, out-of-home advertising, non-traditional advertising, consumer or trade publications, newspaper, radio, television (including cinema), integrated campaigns, advertising for the arts and sciences, public service, self-promotion and elements of advertising.

From here winners go on to compete in the District Awards and if they prevail there, they are on to the nationals later this year.
