PivotLink Appoints Joe Dalton as Chief Marketing Officer

SAN FRANCISCO, CA--(Marketwire - Dec 8, 2011) - PivotLink, the leading provider of retail performance management and business intelligence solutions delivered via Software as a Service (SaaS), today announced that marketing veteran and entrepreneur Joe Dalton has joined the company as chief marketing officer (CMO). Dalton will oversee corporate, field and product marketing programs and build on the success of PivotLink's platform and analytic solutions within the retail industry.

PivotLink also expanded executive Richard Nieset's responsibilities in the newly created position of chief customer officer. Nieset will champion PivotLink customer success and satisfaction by spearheading the company's Sales and Professional Services organizations.

Dalton brings over 25 years of senior marketing, sales and management experience to PivotLink, most recently as CMO at big data analytics company MarkLogic. Previously, he was founder and CEO of Perception Software, a next generation enterprise application for high tech manufacturers and also was founder and CEO of Knowledge Discovery One (KD1), a retail decision support application provider acquired by Net Perceptions. KD1 is widely credited with pioneering the application of advanced analytic concepts that allow business users to solve everyday retail business problems such product affinities, purchase recommendations, and customer clustering. Dalton has also held marketing and sales leadership roles at Mentor Graphics, Innoveda (acquired by Mentor Graphics) and Teradata.
