PivotLink Appoints Richard Nieset as Senior Vice President of Sales & Marketing

SAN FRANCISCO, CA--(Marketwire - Jul 27, 2011) - PivotLink, the leading provider of business intelligence (BI) solutions delivered via Software as a Service (SaaS), today announced the appointment of Richard Nieset as senior vice president of sales and marketing. Nieset brings more than 25 years of senior-level experience in marketing, sales and development of technology products and solutions spanning business intelligence, data warehousing and analytic applications.

In this role, Nieset oversees PivotLink's direct sales, channel sales and marketing organizations and leads PivotLink's efforts to deliver Cloud analytic solutions to enterprise business users.

Most recently, Nieset was CEO and chairman of FusionOps, a SaaS BI company specializing in Supply Chain Analytics for SAP Manufacturing users. Nieset previously served as vice president of sales and marketing at Kickfire, a data warehouse appliance company that was acquired by Teradata in 2010. He also held senior sales, services and marketing positions at Helpstream, a developer of community-driven service and support management solutions, and KNOVA, a service resolution software provider he helped grow from a startup to a publicly-traded company. Nieset joined KNOVA from Agile Software, where he developed go-to-market strategies that fueled its leadership in the Product Life Cycle Management (PLM) category.
