Pizza Pizza Serves Pepperoni Smiles in Support of Children's Miracle Network

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwired - April 18, 2016) - From April 18 to May 22, as part of its semi-annual Slices for Smiles fundraiser, Pizza Pizza will offer special, 10" half-pizzas topped with a pepperoni smile for only $2 in an effort to raise funds for eight children's hospitals across the country.

"A toonie and an appetite for pizza and giving is all it takes," said Pat Finelli, Chief Marketing Officer for Pizza Pizza. "Customers have told us that this is a winning recipe."

Extended to five weeks after the success of the 2015 campaign, the Slices for Smiles program has raised more than $2 million since its inception.

A portion of the proceeds from the smile pizzas is donated to help fund critical care, research and training, and to purchase equipment at participating Children's Miracle Network member hospitals in Canada through the Slices for Smiles Foundation.

To help support the cause, customers also have the opportunity to add a donation to their orders, whether they're placed in-store, by phone, online or through Pizza Pizza's handy mobile ordering apps.

Customers can visit any traditional Pizza Pizza restaurant location in Ontario, Quebec, Manitoba, Saskatchewan and Nova Scotia to participate in Slices for Smiles. All funds stay in the community in which they are raised to support the Children's Miracle Network member hospital for that region.
