Placester Announces Key Hires: Warren Utt, Vice President of Sales, and David Rubinstein, Senior Vice President of Strategic Partnerships

Utt and Rubinstein Join Placester to Scale Real Estate Marketing Platform to the Next Level

BOSTON, MA--(Marketwired - October 22, 2015) - Placester, the real estate marketing platform, today announced the addition of Warren Utt as Vice President of Sales. With extensive experience in scaling sales at high growth technology companies, Utt will provide leadership and direction for Placester’s overall sales and customer engagement strategy, ensuring a continued culture of high performance and success. Placester also announced that David Rubinstein has joined the company as Senior Vice President of Strategic Partnerships.

Placester, a marketing platform that fuses technology and design to dramatically improve the home buying process for consumers, brokers and agents, continues to grow at a rapid rate. Since raising $15 million in Series B funding in April 2015, co-founders Matt Barba, CEO, and Frederick Townes, COO, have signed landmark agreements with top real estate franchises Keller Williams and RE/MAX INTEGRA, churned out continuous product innovations and more than doubled the company’s employee base.

“Despite the wealth of digital marketing resources available to real estate professionals, there remains a large gap between these folks and consumers searching for their dream home. In the last six months alone, Placester has changed this conversation, addressing specific market needs and building staff to support its rapidly growing community of agents, brokers and teams,” said Matt Barba, CEO, Placester. “Now, we’re ready to scale Placester to the next level. With Warren Utt’s experience growing global sales for leading technology companies and David Rubinstein’s focus on signing key partnerships, Placester is poised for yet another set of record milestones.”

Warren Utt comes to Placester following stints with two Inc. 500 Fastest Growing Companies, Applause and Acquia. At both companies, he built and scaled global software subscription sales models totaling more than $110M. At Placester, Utt will drive customer retention and new customer growth by developing and implementing the overall sales strategy to achieve revenue targets.

David Rubinstein comes to Placester from DataXU, Inc., where he served as senior vice president, Global Services and Operations. Previously, he also served as Chief Operating Officer of Resolve Technology from 2006-2011, which was acquired by CoStar Group, Inc in 2009. At Placester, David’s focus is to bring Placester’s value-added services to key partners, such as national franchises and professional organizations. David will also oversee Placester’s Account Management team to grow the company’s high customer satisfaction track record.

Placester continues its rapid growth rate, and looks to increase its headcount to 120 employees by early 2016. For a full list of open positions, visit Placester's careers page:
