Placester Headcount Increases 80 Percent in Four-Month Span

New Hires Include Tammi Pirri, VP, People Operations

BOSTON, MA--(Marketwired - September 01, 2015) - Placester, the real estate marketing platform, announced today that it has hired 36 employees since April of this year. That number includes Tammi Pirri, the newest member of Placester's executive team, who joins as VP of People Operations. The new hires represent an 80 percent increase in headcount over the last four months, bringing the Boston startup to 80 employees, and growing.

Placester, which offers turnkey websites and marketing automation tools for real estate agents and brokers, recently raised $15 million in a Series B funding round led by NEA, bringing the company's total funding to $23.5 million. With the funding round, co-founders Matt Barba, CEO, and Frederick Townes, CTO, set two goals: continued innovation on the Placester platform, and more than doubling Placester's headcount, to 120 employees, by 2016.

Now, we're expanding that effort to bring our headcount to 120 and continue hiring into the first two quarters of 2016."

Tammi Pirri specializes in building talent acquisition strategies for fast-paced technology companies. Her work as VP of Human Resources and Administration at Black Duck led to the company winning the Boston Globe Top Places to Work Award in 2012. As Placester's first People Operations hire, Tammi will create effective HR strategies for quickly growing the company, as well as coaching and advising staff at all levels, from entry-level to C-level executives, for optimal performance.
