SAN FRANCISCO, CA--(Marketwired - September 27, 2016) - World Maker Faire New York 2016, the Greatest Show (and Tell) on Earth, is taking place this weekend, Saturday and Sunday, October 1 & 2, at the New York Hall of Science in Queens, NY. World Maker Faire New York is the largest gathering of Makers on the East Coast. Tech enthusiasts, crafters, educators, tinkerers, engineers, scientists, students, authors, artists, and corporations come together to share their innovations, projects, inventions, hobbies, and more, to thousands of aspiring Makers of all ages and skill levels.

World Maker Faire makes available any and all information necessary to have a fantastic Faire experience including details on getting to the Faire, access to the list of Makers sharing their projects, all attraction and stage schedules, speaker information, and more. Visiting will give attendees access to the resources needed help make their plans.

Advance planning around arriving to World Maker Faire New York is highly encouraged and will maximize attendees' time at the event.

As always, public transportation is the recommended and preferred method to arrive to the Faire. The New York Hall of Science is a quick walk from the 111th Street Station and the Mets-Willet Point Station, for LIRR riders. Ridesharing options such as Uber and Lyft, taxis, and biking to the Faire, with free bike parking available 9:30am-6:30pm each day, are also great options. Intel Returns as Goldsmith Sponsor of World Maker Faire New York 2016

The Intel exhibit at World Maker Faire will feature a variety of hands-on learning activities and interactive demonstrations, including projects created with Intel® Edison, Intel® Galileo, the Intel® Curie-powered Arduino 101 board, and the newly released, high performance Intel® Joule™ platform. Intel will again host Thud Rumble -- world-famous musical artists, turntablists, and hackers of scratch DJ equipment with performances throughout the day by the Invisibl Skratch Piklz, and sessions on "How to Make" a pro DJ mixer with Intel Joule and on "How Hip-Hop was Made" with the inventor of scratching, Grandwizard Theodore.

Tickets are on sale now for World Maker Faire New York 2016 at advance pricing at Advance pricing is available through 11:59 pm ET, Friday, September 30, 2016 ($25.00-$35.00 for a Single Day Pass; $40.00-$65.00 for a Weekend Pass). Children 2 and under are free. Tickets will also be available for purchase on-site at World Maker Faire New York 2016 on October 1-2, 2016 ($30.00-$45.00 for a Single Day Pass; $50.00-$80.00 for a Weekend Pass).
